Giants Called Fear

If you are reading this article believe me, it’s for you. This giant called fear will wreck your life and everyone around it. It stands tall and is stretched wide. It uses intimidation, frustration, rejection, and condemnation to help it work. Fear is a silent killer that creeps in at night. It may have you on the edge of your seat so afraid of looking out of your window controlled by bondage, taking all your possession while you watch.

What have you allowed the devil to steal from you and did nothing about it? Fear is an abusive spirit that will have you spinning on your head like a top. So many Christians are strong on the outside but fear has their heart on the inside. That’s what happened to Saul. Saul was a king who could have fought Goliath. Fear had his heart, he needed someone to fight for him.

If they won, he would reward them with money to become debt-free and would have his daughter in marriage.  (1 Samuel 17:25-26)

How many people do you know who talk a good talk but do not stand behind their word? Why is it that some people refuse to deal with confrontation? It’s as though they are afraid to face problems. It’s just like math; you add things to your life which can help build you or subtract things from you that hinder you.

Dealing with problems is an everyday affair which develops the walk of a believer. Sometimes in your walk, you may feel you’re walking alone. Fear will isolate you as it snatches away your love for life. (1 John 4:18)

If you are fearful, then you are tormented. Overcome this giant called fear and his brother torment by seeking the Lord with your whole heart and ask him to teach you how to love with the love of Christ because you cannot truly love your brother or sister if you are not willing to confront fear.

This giant will torment you when your spouse leaves home to go to work. There may be times when you would become paranoid thinking people are coming against you and may feel helpless dealing with these evil spirits, but you must face it. The spirit of fear is in the world and has influenced our society through violence, movies, books written by psychotic twisted minds used by demons and in our streets through gangs, drugs and drunk drivers. (1 John 4:4)

Fear is torment. Fear itself is afraid of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord defeated this evil spirit, so to Jesus, you have the victory already. Fear is just trying to keep you from your inheritance. This giant called fear is defeated. Believe it in Jesus Christ's mighty name!
